KOREATECH held the "2015 Parents Invitation Day" in Da-san Information Center’s auditorium(Da-san Hall) last May 13, Wednesday. Approximately 270 parents participated on the said event.
This event was held especially for the parents of KOREATECH’s students to communicate and give them a full explanation about its outstanding educational programs.
Three hours before the official event started, parents had a time to talk with the school's president, Dr. Ki-young Kim, in his office.
Additionally, singing performances from the students were showcased during the program. A place where to get information about scholarships, employment, school affairs, and international exchange programs was also provided in front of Da-san Hall.
During the official event which began at 3pm, President Kim himself presented and introduced KOREATECH, giving specific examples of other universities benchmarking the university, best case of industrial academic cooperation, employment rate, evaluation by other institutions, KOREATECH's educational environment and features, specialized educational programs, IPP (Industry Professional Practice) program, and development direction through environment change in KOREATECH.
The Dean of the Office of Academic Affairs then gave an account of scholarship and international program and a head of career development, while IPP Department head Chang-heon Oh introduced about some strategies for career improvement and employment. Moreover, the deans from each major talked about the strengths and weaknesses of their departments.
"Thank you for sending your glorious children to KOREATECH. Your effort to give excellent care to your children was the greatest help for us to make our school a renowned university. Therefore, we promise to do our best to improve the university by arranging spaces to communicate with students and parents continuously," President Kim concluded.
